Allen Tendayi (30) was fined on his own plea of guilty to the charges when he appeared before Hwange magistrate, Sheron Rosemani on Friday.

In his plea, Tendayi admitted he was drunk when he failed to negotiate a curve and veered off the road and overturned along Independence Road in Hwange on January 22. He sustained facial and bodily bruises in the accident. He also admitted that the motorbike he was using was unregistered.

The accident resulted in his arrest after it was established that he had no driver’s licence and he drove under the influence of alcohol.
