Billiat’s future has been the subject of much speculation of late, with major clubs in Africa and Europe reportedly making huge offers for his services. However, Mamelodi Sundowns are reluctant to let him go and have placed a sizeable price tag on the forward.

According to Soccer Laduma, a fee close to R37m will have to be paid for any side wanting to land the Zimbabwe international.

Egypt’s Al Ahly are said to have already had around an R18m offer turned down. In addition, an undisclosed Eastern European club have had a R25m bid rejected.

It seems that Billiat will miss out on a mega-payday as a result of the R25m offer being turned down. It has also been suggested that the 26-year-old would have stood to collect around R11m-per-year in terms of a personal salary.

It appears coach Pitso Mosimane is keen to hang on to his star attacker for as long as possible – the club have a demanding schedule of games both domestically and on the continent in 2016/17.
