Mutuma missed training on Friday ahead of the derby clash against Harare City and was left out of the squad for the match which was played on Sunday.

Before that he was one of the senior players who were dropped from DeMbare’s match against Bulawayo City due to alleged alcohol abuse with coach Lloyd Mutasa fielding a largely youthful side.

The other players axed from the Bulawayo City match together with Mutuma included goalkeeper Tatenda Mukuruva, skipper Stephen Alimenda, Denver Mukamba and Dominic Mukandi.

Mukamba and Alimenda were both involved in Dynamos’ 2-1 win over Harare City.

Mukamba was the star of the show on Sunday, as he scored a beauty with full-back Ocean Mushure scoring the insurance goal from the penalty spot to secure victory that brought Dynamos back into the top-four on the league table.

Mutuma joined his team mates at training on Tuesday ahead of the trip to the Boabab.

But there was still concern within the technical department over the continued absence of defender Sidney Linyama. Linyama has not been reporting for training for the past two weeks. He disappeared from the scene without notifying the technical team.

Yesterday Mutasa said the lanky defender was still to report for training. He said they would try to go and see him at his residence to find out the exact position.

“Linyama is still to come to training. We have not heard anything from him, but maybe we will need to go and see him at his place to get a clear position,” said Mutasa.

The Dynamos gaffer, however, said Mutuma had joined others at training and were looking forward to the match against Ngezi FC Platinum. “Rody is back to training. Our preparations are going on well and are looking forward to the match,” said Mutasa.

Dynamos’ victory over Harare City on Sunday lifted them to fourth position on the league table with 31 points, 11 adrift of log leaders FC Platinum, while Ngezi Platinum’s 2-0 defeat to Border Strikers left them in 11th position with 26 points.

Ngezi FC Platinum coach Tonderai Ndiraya made an impressive start after taking over midway through the season, but the team has dipped in form recently winning just once in their last five matches.
