CAPS United right-back Hardlife Zvirekwi will miss his team’s crucial Castle Lager Premier Soccer League away tie to bogey side Hwange at the weekend due to suspension, as indiscipline continues to haunt the Green Machine camp.

Caps United have a strong say in the championship race, where they are second, just two points behind leaders FC Platinum, who are on 37 points from 18 matches.
But as the race for the ultimate prize in domestic football intensifies, indiscipline could be the Green Machine’s biggest undoing, with their defenders being the most culpable.
Vice-captain Stephen Makatuka was recently suspended for accumulating three yellow cards, so was defence partner, Justice Jangano, while left back Ronald Pfumbidzai also recently served a suspension.
Former ZPC Kariba defender, Dennis Dauda will also not make the trip to the Colliery, as he is nursing an injury sustained in a collision with an opponent.
While defenders are most likely to get booked, this could affect the team’s challenge for the coveted championship.
Nevertheless, assistant coach Fungai Kwashi this week said they remained confident ahead of the trip to Hwange.

“It will be a tough match against Hwange. We have great respect for them, they had a good result against FC Platinum and it will be war in Hwange. We need all the three points and we will try to give everything as a team,” he said.
