There is also reported interest from Morocco football giants Raja Casablanca who reportedly want to have a look at him.

The Sunshine City Boys captain flew out aboard South African airways and is expected to be out of the country for two weeks as he seeks to.

The player’s agent George Deda told NewsDay from the Tunisian capital Tunis yesterday that the big striker had been invited for trials.

He said he was happy with the work he had done so far since returning from the UK after securing deals for several players including Bruce Kangwa and Brett Amidu who also went to Tanzania.

“I am glad that since my return from Europe my work is beginning to pay fruits. I am working very hard to break into east and North African leagues where there are rich pickings which are even better than some leagues in Europe,” said Deda who is expected to link up with the player in Dar es Salaam today.

He said after the trial by Azam, Zekumbawire will also try his luck at Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.

Harare City spokesperson Hope Chizuzu also confirmed that the player left for Tanzania.

“Its true Zekumbawire has left for Tanzania today. He has been invited for trials by Azam and he will be there for two weeks,” Chizuzu said.

Zekumbawire who played for Hwange and Harare giants Dynamos before moving to the Sunshine City Boys is likely to seal a deal with Azam before he tries his luck with Raja Casablanca.

Should he seal the deal, he will join several players who have flocked to the lucrative league in Tanzania. Some of the players who have joined the Tanzania league include Thabani Kamusoko, Donald Ngoma, Method Mwanjale, Bruce Kangwa and Brett Amidu.
