Taruvinga Magaya, who is Harare provincial youth assembly secretary for home affairs, Goodrich Mucherera and Chrispen Mundandi were also ordered to report every Friday at CID Law and Order, Harare Central Police Station, as part of their bail condition.

The State had opposed bail, saying the suspects might interfere with its witnesses.

But magistrate Mahwe said the State did not advance compelling reasons to deny the suspects their constitutional rights to bail.

According to the State, the suspects were going to a political rally in Kambuzuma Section 5 and barricaded a road with tyres and rims. They allegedly then pelted members of the public with stones.

The State alleges in the process they shattered windows of a parked vehicle belonging to one Theophelus Murerwa.

Mahwe remanded the three to September 21.

Audry Chogumira appeared for the State.
