Simba Matandaware (33) was accused by the trio of arresting them because they had refused to give him his used condom after he refused to pay what they demanded.

The ladies, Tanyaradzwa Chidemo (22), Nokutenda Mulo (28) and Natasha Chakwenya (21), appeared before Harare magistrate Vongai Guuriro charged with robbery.

The trio denied the charges, saying, instead Matandaware wanted a threesome, but only offered $10.

“He had sexual intercourse with me and said he only had $2, yet he wanted to stay the whole night,” Chidemo said.

Matandaware then denied having sex with Chidembo, who quipped: “What would you say if I describe how your naked body looks like to prove we had sexual intercourse? Is it not true that you refused to leave our flat because you wanted your used condom?”

Mulo also said she had a misunderstanding with Matandaware after he took too long to ejaculate.

In her evidence, Chikwenya said Matandaware solicited for sex, but later refused to pay, prompting the three to gang up on him and demand payment.

Under cross-examination by Matandaware, Mulo said the cop was in the habit of robbing sex workers and using his job to threaten them.

However, Matandaware told the court that he was not in the habit of engaging sex workers and the ladies of the night robbed him after they discovered he had $60 in his wallet.

“Mulo said they were calling ‘Bla Sam’ and I was afraid for my life. I went out of the room and they closed the door,” he said.

The State alleges on May 26 in the Avenues, Matandaware solicited for sex from Chidemo and the pair agreed on a $4 fee for a short-time session.

The State alleges when they entered Chidemo’s room and before they engaged in the act, Mulo closed the door while her colleague demanded money.

It is alleged Mulo then forcibly took the police officer’s jacket containing $60, a cellphone and a wallet.

The State alleges Chakwenya then ordered Matandaware to leave before closing the door and then threw the jacket outside.

Matandaware threatened to call the police and Chidemo gave him back the cellphone. He then filed a police report, leading to the trio’s arrest.

Paida Makuvaza appeared for the State.
