A SECOND suspect in the alleged breaking and theft at businessman Wicknell Chivayo’s house in Ballantyne Park, Harare, appeared in court last Friday and was remanded in custody to today for bail ruling.

Lamusi Nthula (51) of Domboshava appeared before Harare magistrate, Vakai Chikwekwe facing 11 counts of unlawful entry after he broke into several city homes and allegedly stole various electrical gadgets and goods worth over $180 660.
His alleged accomplice, Ignatius Magaya (40) of Mufakose, appeared in court last week charged with stealing Chivayo’s 30 pairs of shoes and other goods.
Magaya’s bail ruling is also expected to be delivered today.
Prosecutor Peter Kachirika told the court that Nthula was arrested last Thursday after he was found wearing some of the stolen goods.
Following his arrest, police then recovered 14 plasma television sets, two Nikon cameras and other items worth $47 970.
Nthula reportedly scaled precast security walls of the complainants’ houses before using an iron bar to gain entry.
