Speaking about her collaboration with Mhere, she said it was unplanned, but came out well, like some divine appointment.

“We just bumped into each other with Mhere at the studio and his vocals fitted so well with my mine making it good for collaboration with him,” she said

“It is my desire to honour and serve God through music. I believe I am a bearer of God’s good news hence my choice for gospel music.”

Alvern Zhou of the Lutheran Church also features on the album.

Hove said her passion for music dates back to her childhood where the influence of her prayerful grandmother rubbed onto her as prayer sessions were held every evening and all children had to sing in the family choir from the Lutheran hymn book.

She said she wrote her first song, God Reigns, in 2008 and she would only sing it during church services and felt it would not be easy to break into the music industry.

“An opportunity to record came to me in May this year through an encounter with Naxo Films’ videographer, Tamuka Hove who introduced me to Temptation Chirenje the producer of Mount Zion Music,” she said.

The album carries 10-tracks such as Rudo RwaShe, Tinotenda, Zororo and God Reigns.
