They return to the same venue they used last year when they recorded their debut Season 1 Live DVD that featured Malawian singer Skeffa Mulongoti Chimoto who was the guest artiste.

Malawi Ambassador to Zimbabwe Annie Yauka Kumwenda, will be the guest of honour at the concert to be held under the theme: Legends Night.

Speaking to NewsDay yesterday the group’s chairperson William Mikaye said the recording of the Season 2 shows their commitment to spread the word of God through music.

“We are geared up for our Season 2 Live DVD recording as we continue with our mission of ministering through music reaching out to people in the comfort of their homes through our DVD album,” Mikaye said.

“As usual, we always make sure that we produce something that is of value for our fans. For this year’s recording we have incorporated veteran gospel musicians Machanic Manyeruke and Pastor Charles Charamba to be part of the recording.”

Mikaye said the live DVD will carry 21 tracks with Charamba and Manyeruke set to feature on the popular song Nga Nga Nga, but performing on different sets.

He said tickets of the concert will be selling at $2 with those who buy before the concert day receiving the Season 1 Live DVD album. Some of the finest gospel musicians in the country among them Mathias Mhere, Vabati VaJehovah, Thembalami, Tatenda Mahachi, veteran musician Manyeruke and CCAP Holy Youth will be part of the star-studded line up of the supporting acts.

Formed in 1985, CCAP Voice of Mbare is a 17 male member group. Among albums under their sleeves are Nga Nga Nga in 1996, Ishe Makanaka, Alemekezeke, Kufamba naJesu, Jesu Ndiye Wangu, Mbiri Kuna Mwari, Kune Musha Flashback.
