The former South Africa-based midfield magician had been training with the Glamour Boys while negotiations were on and the two parties finally sealed the deal that will see the DeMbare fans’ heartthrob back in the team’s books for at least a year.

His involvement tomorrow afternoon hinges on the availability of a reverse clearance from South Africa.

“It’s now a done deal,” Mukamba said yesterday.

“Everything has been done from this end and I am just waiting for clearance from my former club in South Africa. I should be getting the clearance any time from now. If it arrives on time, I will be going to Bulawayo, but if I fail to get it this week, it means I will have to wait for the next match.”

With Dynamos likely to be without midfielder Bret Amidu, who is scheduled to leave for trials in Europe tomorrow, the Glamour Boys will be praying fervently that Mukamba’s papers arrive on time.

From what Dynamos assistant coach Murape Murape said yesterday, it is only the unavailability of the clearance that could stop him from featuring tomorrow.

“Mukamba is the only player we have signed for now. He might play on Saturday (tomorrow) if he gets the clearance on time,” Murape said.

The Dynamos assistant coach also revealed that they had promoted three junior players into the senior team as they seek to beef up the squad following the departure of five players who were put on free transfer by the club on Wednesday.

“We have promoted three juniors — Tawanda Macheka, Sedrick Maruta and Ady Matope — into the senior team. They have been training with us and we feel it’s time we should start to introduce them gradually into the senior team. We think they will add value because, you see, in the modern game you need pace and so it’s important to integrate these youngsters into the team. But it should be done gradually because at a big club like Dynamos you also need results. You also find that we have always been buying players from other teams, but we cannot compete with teams like FC Platinum and others in the market so we need to revive the junior policy and introduce the youngsters gradually,” Murape said.

The Dynamos technical team offloaded strikers Evans Gwekwerere, Farai Mupasiri, Richard Kawondera, midfielder Walter Mukanga and defender Jimmy Dzingai.

Murape said they took the decision to release the players because they were under-performers.

“Dynamos is a big club and players have to give everything for the club. We took the decision as the technical team because we felt most of them were not doing enough to take the club to the top where it should be,” he said.

The Dynamos number two said they were looking forward to continue collecting maximum points to keep in touch with the leading pack. He acknowledged Bulawayo City were a strong side and said they would not under-rate them.

“Bulawayo City are a very good side and we have got respect for them. We always respect our opponents because the fact that they are in the league means they are a very good side. But we have to collect maximum points. We have won our last three matches, but we need maximum points to keep up with the leading pack,” Murape said.
