The multi-talented Nigerian is well-known for some of his hits like Run Dem Down and Omo Iya Alhaja.

The three minutes 46-second video also features London dance group, GOP, who have done some productions with Davido, a Nigeria artiste.

In the video, Tu Short showcases his talent with well-choreographed dance moves, and colourful scenes, adding his name to the growing list of quality music videos produced by local musicians among them Jah Prayzah, Winky D and Ammara Brown.

Despite his stay in the United Kingdom, the video has some Zimbabwean flair, with some scenes showing the London-based dancers dressed in traditional attire and executing some kongonya dance moves.

Speaking to NewsDay yesterday from his Birmingham base, Tu Short, born Lamont Chitepo, said the video is already making waves in United Kingdom and Nigeria, with more than 11 000 views on YouTube.

“Collaborating with Kin on this video has seen us exchanging a lot of ideas. The collaboration goes a long way, as the video will also be marketed in Nigeria, taking my musical career to greater heights,” he said.

“In this industry, it is important to work together and share ideas. My music is receiving good response on both radio stations and online platforms. My latest video, produced by Kona Global, is also doing well here in United Kingdom and Nigeria.”

The singer, who said he draws his inspiration from Oliver Mtukudzi and American singer, R Kelly, added his latest album was influenced and inspired by a combination of love and happiness as well as current events in his life.

Some of the songs on the album are Ndikadai, Handimbotyi and Get the Money.

Tu Short released his debut seven-track album titled Ndiwe in the UK in 2010 with songs like Terera and Ndiwe being well received, leading to his nomination for the Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television, Arts and Sports Awards, which celebrate black and ethnic personalities in showbiz.

Back home, he has worked with some seasoned artistes such as Delani Makhalima, Major E and shared the stage with Chimurenga guru, Thomas Mapfumo.
