Thousands of Anglican Church of Central Africa (CPCA) pilgrims will today converge at the Bernard Mizeki Shrine in Marondera for the annual commemoration of the late martyr’s life.

over 20 000 members of the Anglican Church of the Province of Central Africa converged at theBernard Mizeki shrine on Saturday for their annual pilgrimage 5 yrs after being denied access by ex Bishop Kunonga

This is the fourth time for the pilgrims to assemble at the shrine after five years in exile when the Bishop Chad Gandiya-led Harare diocese was being barred from the site by excommunicated Bishop Nolbert Kunonga.

Harare diocese spokesperson Precious Shumba said bishops from Mozambique, Zambia and other countries were expected to attend the three-day event, which ends on Sunday.

Mizeki was killed on the night of June 18, 1896.
