TWO-time National Arts Merit Awards nominee, Ntando Van Moyo of Umahlekisa Comedy Club, is set to take the current debates on bond notes and Zimbabwe International Football Association’s (Zifa) name change to the stage in a one-man show at Rainbow Hotel in Bulawayo this Saturday.

The show is dubbed #BiziRiot, which means call the riot police.
Moyo said all was set for his first one-man show for this year.
“All is set for the show and this show is one of a kind that’s why we are calling it #BiziRiot. That’s a call to the riot police. There is going to be need for riot police to control the unrest and stampede that will be caused by people’s laughter on the night,” he said.
“This is my first one man show this year. I promise comedy lovers a night never to forget. I am going to touch on so many current issues political, social and economic such as bond notes, Zifa name change and current politics that’s why we will need the riot police to maintain order.”
Moyo, the founder of Bulawayo’s first comedy club-Umahlekisa has managed to hold shows every month at the same venue, and have hosted seasoned and upcoming comedians such as Carl Joshua Ncube, Long John, Noma and Mandla.

“We have been holding shows every last weekend of the month since January and Bulawayo has been very supportive, we will keep on growing this platform,” he said.
