A deal between the GameCocks and the two players, who trained with Dynamos for a couple of weeks before talks collapsed, was sealed on Saturday.

However, the two will not be involved in action before the transfer window opens as Chicken Inn have no free slots to register them.

The club is still working on their reverse international transfer certificates from the Fédération Congolaise de Football where the players were registered with Democratic Republic of Congo champions TP Mazembe.

Chicken Inn secretary Tavengwa Hara said the players were possible replacements for South African giants Kaizer Chiefs targets Michelle Katsvairo and Edmore Chirambadare.

Hara declined to disclose full details of Nyandoro and Samakweri’s contracts, but said Chicken Inn’s policy is that they don’t sign a player for less than two years.

“Nyandoro and Samakweri signed for Chicken Inn on Saturday. We will register them when the transfer window opens as we have no free slots and we are still working on their papers. In case Chirambadare and Katsvairo’s move to Kaizer Chief materialises, they (Nyandoro and Samakweri) would be the replacements,” Hara said.

“The technical team recommended that we negotiate with the players and they signed on Saturday. We don’t sign a player for less than two years.”

Katsvairo and Chirambadare could be playing their last games for Chicken Inn, who had their matches against Hwange at the Colliery and FC Platinum at Luveve rescheduled as they had more than three players on national duty in Namibia.

Chicken Inn’s title defence started on bad note losing four matches, three of which were at home against Caps United, Triangle and new boys Bulawayo City at Luveve.

They also lost to ZPC Kariba at Nyamhunga in the first eight games with three wins and a draw.

In his first two matches, new coach Rahman Gumbo guided the team to a win against Mutare City Rovers 3-1 at Sakubva before the Caps United defeat.
