The shows themed “Clive and the Cde” are set to take place on June 3 to 4 at Charles Austin Theatre and Bulawayo Rainbow Hotel respectively.

Chigubu told NewsDay yesterday that while serious issues affecting the country have riled many, there was need to cool down with the best medicine — laughter.

“We will be raising issues that are affecting us and the nation especially during this time when the economy is a bit unstable,” he said jokingly.

“Instead of boosting the immune system with the quail bird, we are giving our locals a double dosage of laughter medicine.”

Cde Fatso concurred, inviting patrons to make sure they make their way to the venues, as the pair would reignite their past dazzling performances.

“We are basically going to be talking about all issues affecting the society and the two of us on stage is assurance that there will be a great show because in the past we have managed to impress full houses around the country,” Cde Fatso, who has had successful international tours in India, Tanzania and Belgium said.

Meanwhile Chigubu is set to leave for Cape Town next month to perform alongside compatriots Doc Vikela and Baba Tencen.

“It’s always a hustle when you are from Bulawayo, because first preference goes to Harare with more air play to their advantage, but since we are the hub of talent we will continue to sell our productions,” he said.
