One of the students, Rachael Magadhi, said they were working together to jointly produce a piece of art.

“We have so far toured Dzimbanhete Arts Interactions where we have been taught arts and design by multi-media artist Chikonzero Chazunguza,” said Magadhi.

“We have also been to Chinhoyi and we intend to go to Mutare, Nyanga, Masvingo and Victoria Falls.”

Magadhi said the Michigan students, who leave for the US next week, will also take part in her exhibition, “Down Memory Lane,” which runs from May 30 to June 1 at Newlands Country Club.

During the exhibition, Magadhi will showcase and auction some of her artworks. The three-day showcase chronicles her long journey from amateurship to professionalism during which she has achieved considerable success by publishing some of her artwork in national newspapers and provided branding solutions to companies in the region.

The exhibition is free entry from 8am to 5pm for the three days and the official opening is on May 31 at 4pm.

The CUT students will also tour the US in October where they will have a chance to exhibit their work.
