Nyandoro, Samakweri frustrate Dynamos

DYNAMOS’ targets Darryl Nyandoro and Chris Samakweri have failed to produce their clearance certificates from TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), raising suspicions the players might not actually be free agents, as they claim.

DYNAMOS-TRAINING

DeMbare were looking to sign the two to strengthen their attack, but all efforts have been frustrated by the players, who are playing hide-and-seek with the team each time clearance certificates are asked of them.

The former Premier Soccer League champions had hoped they could seal the deal for the two ahead of their clash with rivals Highlanders at Rufaro Stadium on Saturday.

Dynamos secretary, Webster Chikengezha said the duo was not forthcoming in producing the necessary documents.

“I have asked them to produce their clearance letters from the DRC and we also want to see their contracts so that we don’t engage players who are tied elsewhere,” he said. “What is surprising is that they have been dithering on the matter. They were told by the team manager to come to my office on Friday, but instead, they went to the president’s (Keni Mubaiwa) office. They were redirected to my office, but they never pitched, and later claimed I had left for home when they arrived, when I actually left the place at around 9pm.

We did the same with Evans Gwekwerere and he produced his papers promptly and we signed him, I don’t know why it is taking these two this long. Their clearance should be dated before March 25, when our local transfer window closed, and if it was signed after that date, we can only register them in July.”

Nyandoro and Samakweri skipped Dynamos’ training on Monday and it was not clear if they trained yesterday.

Last year, Hwange were fined 10 000 Swiss francs by Fifa for using Creven Banda without following proper international transfer procedures.

The world football governing body found the club guilty of failing to correctly reflect the transfer of Banda to Motlakatse Power Dynamos Football Club, a Botswana Premier Soccer League side, through the Fifa Transfer Matching System in 2011.

The player then returned to Hwange and played without a reverse international clearance from the Botswana Football Association.

Chikengezha said they wanted to avoid a situation where they could end up being sanctioned by Fifa and so they would be thorough on signing players.
