Chitembwe has been giving everyone the impression that last week’s setback was a minor bleep, but only an efficient performance this afternoon can the coach’s assertion convince anyone.

ZPC Kariba are a tricky side, who are guided by a coach with a wealth of experience that spans decades and today Caps know they come up against a side with potential and talent.

With so much quality to pick from, Chitembwe has the luxury to chop and change, as he seeks the best formula and combination after last week’s loss to Kelvin Kaindu’s How Mine.

He has already confirmed that Dennis Dauda will start this afternoon and it will be interesting to see what other changes he will come up with, seeing as they struggled in front of goal last week.

Dominic Chungwa has been leading the attack line with Leonard Tsipa mainly used as an impact sub.

Even without the injured pair of Tafadzwa Rusike and Allen Gahadzikwa, Caps don’t look depleted.

What, with Abbas Amidu also in the fray and challenging for a starting berth, especially after he made a strong case in his substitute appearance last week, scoring the consolation goal.

Chitembwe is spoilt for choice and in the midfield he is so blessed he can even bench Archford Gutu.

With so many quality players fighting for places in the team Chitembwe knows that whoever he summons from the bench possesses the hunger to win and he knows too that whoever he axes for any match will come back fighting.

“It’s only natural that after what happened last week a coach will respond and make changes to the team to stimulate peformances,” he said.

“We are blessed with quality and if you don’t perform to expected levels we give the opportunity to someone else.”

Going by his utterances, Chitembwe is likely to butcher the team from last week.

But they will sure find it tough against a ZPC Kariba side that has former Caps United players looking to do well on the big stage.

Among them is striker Tawanda Nyamandwe, who if given a run will be out to cause trouble for Caps.

Leonard Fiyado could be another tricky customer for the Green Machine with a point to prove having been shown the door at Caps United.

The Kariba side miss Wisdom Mutasa, who is struggling with an injury, but they know that they have enough in their reserves to inflict pain on an expectant Caps United fan base.
