According to information released by the PSL yesterday under the standing order offences and fines for the new season, Dynamos have been found on the wrong side of the law twice already and will part with a total $4 000 for their troubles.

The champions have been charged for their fans’ violent behaviour in the matches against Chicken Inn and Caps United.

They have been slapped with a $2 000 fine for their fans’ missile throwing in the 3-0 loss to Chicken Inn in their season opener at Barbourfields Stadium on April, 2.

Dynamos were also fined $2 000 for a similar offence during the Big Harare derby against Caps United on Workers’ Day, a match they lost 1-0.

Caps United fans also misbehaved on the day, as they threw objects onto the pitch while celebrating the winning goal, which cost their club $2 000.

The offences and fines update is silent on the Dynamos-FC Platinum match, where missiles were also thrown onto the pitch, as well as the violence that erupted after the game.

DeMbare supporters fought running battles with the police, which left property damaged.

During the second half of the match, FC Platinum goalkeeper Petros Mhari was pelted with water bottles.

In 2014, Dynamos had $64 000 garnished from their $70 000 title winning prize money by the PSL for various offences and last year, they were fined over $5 000.

Former Dynamos coach Paulo Jorge Silva, who was sacked by the club last week, has been fined $125 for his expulsion from the technical area during the ill-tempered Harare derby.

He is not the only coach, who has found himself in trouble, as Harare City’s Taurai Mangwiro has also been punished following his expulsion from the technical area during his team’s season opener against Triangle United at Gibbo Stadium Missile throwing in their match against FC Platinum at Barbourfieds Stadium last month has cost Highlanders $2 000.

New-boys Mutare City have also been hit hard after they were penalised $2 000 following a pitch invasion by women’s football boss, Cecilia Gambe, who insulted the referee.

Champions Chicken Inn and city rivals Bulawayo City have been each fined $750 for failing to use designated dressing rooms and entry points, respectively. Chicken Inn committed the offence away to Triangle, while City used an undesignated gate to enter the field for their match against Chicken Inn.

Bulawayo City official, Gift Mvala was charged for deliberately setting up cones in the opposition half before the start of their match against Chapungu, which attracted a $250 fine.

Border Strikers, the only team worse off than Dynamos in terms of points accumulation so far, have been fined $250 for delaying the kick-off of their match against Chicken Inn at Maglas Stadium last month.
