Speaking to NewsDay, Takaedza said her vision is to be like celebrated women preachers, who have improved people’s lives through authoring books inspired by the word of God, in the mould of Joyce Meyer.

Takaedza said the book launched last year has produced instant results for some women in the community mainly in Chitungwiza, with their husbands coming to her appreciating her works, testifying that their spouses have improved in many areas of their lives.

“There is this woman, a widow, who used to be called ‘Mai Cobra’, she used to sell cobra in town, renting one room and she was low on self-esteem because of her trade. She was not keen to talk to others in church, but now she has gained confidence and she is now living in a two- roomed house and is even talking of buying her own car from her new flea market business.

“My passion is to empower women and as a way of doing that I have written my debut book A Woman of Standard which focuses on all women from a poor and modest set up to raise them spiritually, socially, economically, and politically by re-engineering and renewing their minds,” Takaedza said.

“I wrote the book using simple language for easy understanding to mould women to be mature, modest and well mannered. The book teaches women on how to remain in their femininity, but respecting their husbands.” She said women should remember that personal virtues are characteristics that promote collective and individual greatness.

“A woman of standard should have three Godly virtues, faith, hope, and love. It is not all about money, one must not have money to know basic things in life like how to sweep the house among other house hold chores and how to bath and dress properly,” she said.

“Women must be confident and not always have the mind of leaning to a man, even single women they must not think that they have to have a man to be successful. Women must be encouraged and empowered to have passports, driver’s licences, so that if the husband is not there they just do not park the family car.”

Takaedza said the book teaches women to be confident and should empower themselves, as they venture into male-dominated areas like mining and construction.

She said she has preached extensively about women empowerment, as the founder of the Woman of Standard Ministries under the New Revelation Glass House Ministries International together with her husband and inspiration Ancelem.

Takaedza is also an entrepreneur in the fashion industry and she is also involved in philanthropic and other gospel-supporting initiatives.
