Edzai Kasinauyo’s world is fast crumbling around him following another setback yesterday in his court bid to have his suspension as a Zifa executive committee member lifted.

Only on Wednesday the former Warriors midfielder was expelled from Zifa after he challenged his suspension from the football mother body at the High Court.
Yesterday, he failed to get the reprieve he sought after High Court judge Justice Loice Moyo, presiding over the case, dismissed it as not worth of any urgency.
Zifa president Phillip Chiyangwa said after expelling Kasinauyo from the association, they would follow that up with cancelling his licence as a player agent.
Kasinauyo has been fingered alongside former Zifa chief executive officer Henrietta Rushwaya, suspended programmes officer for the organisation Jonathan Musavengana, former Warriors coach Ian Gorowa, Hwange coach Nation Dube and player agent Kudzi Shaba, as being in a match-fixing cartel that sought to manipulate results of Warriors matches.
The group, as alleged, had sought to manufacture defeats for Zimbabwe in their two Africa Cup of Nations 2017 qualifiers against Swaziland during the Easter holidays before a whistleblower informed Zifa of their intentions.
They are believed to have contacted players whom they offered money to throw away matches, but their plans hit a brick wall.

Zifa responded by suspending Kasinauyo and Dube, who is Warriors assistant coach.
Kasinauyo, who was key to the alleged plans due to his position as the executive committee member in charge of technical affairs, filed an urgent chamber application seeking to have his suspension lifted as well as demanding access to the evidence that Zifa held.
But his case might have finally crumbled yesterday after the High Court dismissed his application where he had argued that his suspension was unprocedural and irregular.
He also wanted Zifa to be barred from associating him with match-fixing until he had seen the evidence they held against him.
Zifa had, however, mailed him both his charges and the evidence they have against him on March 24, the day he made his court application.
Chiyangwa told reporters on Wednesday that Kasinauyo’s career in football at least locally was finished as he announced the provisional dismissal of the former Ajax Cape Town player.
The dismissal is set to be regularised by congress.
The reasons for Kasinauyo’s dismissal included the decision to take Zifa to court challenging his suspension as well as demanding access to the mother body’s evidence.
He also breached terms and conditions of his suspension by going to Chiyangwa’s private office to try and discuss the match-fixing issue.
