Chimbetu’s fortunes in the music industry have taken a nosedive forcing him to repair cellphones to earn a living.

Chimbetu yesterday confirmed the development, saying he has decided to rope in Chimbangu due to his vast experience in the music industry.

“Yes, I have new management now, but I am a bit tied-up at the moment, can you call Alois, he has all the details he will share with you,” he said.

Chimbangu, who said he has worked with top artistes including Progress Chipfumo, Sulumani Chimbetu, Beverly Sibanda, Diana Samukange and dancehall sensation, King Shaddy, said Chimbetu was poised for a glorious comeback.

“Sometimes in life there may be ups and downs, but for now Allan is on the verge of claiming his lost music glory. He has been waiting for the right time to resurrect his career and that has seen my coming on-board, as we join forces to take his career where it fits,” he said.

The promoter said they were already in the studio working on a new album set to be released in September.

“We are starting out something as the new management at Orchestra Dendera Kings. We have already acquired a new public address system that is on its way from the United Kingdom, alongside new regalia meant to bring a new look to the band,” he said.

Allan, a guitarist, vocalist and composer is among the founding members of the dendera music genre, together with his brothers, Simon and Naison, all now late, that saw them becoming one of the best music outfits in the 1980s.
