Zhakata with his Zimbabwe All Stars band head to South Africa following a series of successful shows they have been performing in the country, attracting promoters across the border.

The Hupenyu Mutoro hitmaker, undoubtedly one of the country’s musical superpowers told NewsDay that he will be performing in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth respectively.

“We will be in Cape Town end of May. We are looking forward to launch our new album there for our South African fans. We will also shoot some videos there,” Zhakata said.

Zhakata, who has relived his remarkable musical trace, has fallen in love with fans in South Africa as he has promised to play songs from his eagerly awaited forthcoming album to be released in June.

He last performed at a sold out show in 2014 in Johannesburg. Zhakata is riding on a wave of success following his latest album, Zvangu Zvaita, which has a plug track Dhonza Makomborero that won the Radio Zimbabwe Coca Cola Top 50 best song in 2014.
