1. VIDEO: MUGABE’S INCONSISTENCIES

Perhaps, Zimbabweans are asking the same question to the president , who over the past years, has defended the mining processes in Marange. Chinese companies, have- until recently – been the main diamond miners in Marange.

Mugabe has previously blamed sanctions as the reason behind low revenues from diamond mines, and now, the veteran leader has turned around, accusing his own lieutenants and diamond companies of looting, corruption and engaging in shady deals.

This is after Mugabe, in 2012, assured a diamond conference that his government was committed to good governance in diamond mining, and had put in place measures to ensure transparency.
