The show, directed by Sue Bolt and Mario Ciampi with musical direction by Meg Mackenzie and choreography by June Cloete, was specifically timed for the end of the first school term and students on holiday will also have an opportunity to watch it.

“The show conception, design and presentation is completely original and have all been produced locally, with a large and talented cast performing songs from as early as When You Wish Upon a Star to the latest hit from the movie Frozen, Let it Go,” according to the musical’s creative director, Ciampi.

Ciampi said this was a show that any theatre-lover, including those who may never have heard of Walt Disney, would enjoy.

“The songs and music covers all styles from jazz to rock and even a little opera, and are guaranteed to bring a tear to your eye, a smile to you lips and set your feet tapping,” he said.
He described the show as “a uniquely entertaining experience” for the whole family and a little distraction for everyday pressing issues.

The show features a live band made up of Natalie Carroll, Sergio Fernandes, Adam Snape, Brennan Wyngard, Matt Greenwood and Meg Mackenzie, and they support a veritable ‘opera’ of local vocalists of all ages, including Faith Wyngard, Shaun Mundawarara, Marc and Stephane Thomas, Katelyn Mostert, Martin Bolt and Zane E Lucas.

The ticket prices range from $8.
