Rusape-based businesswoman Mandi Majoni is one of the directors at Vicemast Services.

Vicemast had approached the High Court seeking an order to eject Mujaji, Nathaniel Mhiripiri and Stanley Sakupwanya, who had forcibly taken over the building and ordered flea market operators at Zidco Garage to stop using the premises.

The trio had reportedly influenced Zanu PF youths in Rusape to cause chaos at Eldro Motors, forcing it to temporarily close as Vicemast sought the court’s intervention.

They also alleged Majoni was now a member of newly-launched Zimbabwe People First, an accusation she flatly denied, saying it was being peddled by people trying to tarnish her image and disrupt Vicemast business operations.

Justice Phiri ordered the trio to stop interfering with Majoni’s business.

“The second, third and fourth respondent, their workmates, agents and representatives and anyone acting through them or on their behalf be and are hereby ordered to restore the applicant’s occupation and control of the premises, called Zidco Garage and Staff Cottage, situated in the District of Rusape, being No 29 and 586 Rusape with immediate effect,” the order read.

“That the second, thirrd and fourth respondent and anyone acting through them or on their behalf be and is hereby ordered to restore the status quo ante and the occupation of the premises called Zidco Garage and staff cottage situated in the district of Rusape being stand No.29 and 586 by all the subtenants with immediate effect.”

The three were also interdicted from leasing out the premise.

Vicemast was also advised to seek the assistance of the Zimbabwe Republic Police in order to enforce the order.

Some Zanu PF hawks have for long tried to frustrate smooth business operation at the building, prompting the company to seek assistance and remedy from the court.
