DENDERA musician Sulumani Chimbetu had an opportunity to watch his fans mimicking his songs at Bulawayo’s Club Royal on Saturday night, before taking to the stage at around 11pm and serenaded the fans with his father’s classics such as One Way and Ndarangarira Gamba.

The musician was a marvel to watch performing with his Dendera band going through beautifully choreographed dance routines.

This was after the multiple-award-winning artiste had given his fans a chance to shine by calling five fans at different occasions to come sing his songs with him.

“In the Easter spirit of love I decided to give back to my fans who are the real owners of dendera music, I am humbled by the way my fans know my music by head. It’s a wonderful experience to see your fans singing your songs the exact way like you do, today I became a fan of my fans,” he said.

One of the fans who graced the stage Edmore Katembe hailed Suluman.

“Sulu is a great artiste who is humble enough to give us fans an opportunity to take the lead, and experience the same feeling with him. I enjoyed my night and thanks to Sulu‚ Bulawayo enjoyed, we hope he will release new music soon,” Katemba said.

Sulu’s publicist Joe Nyamungoma said: “Bulawayo is home to us the fans are very apreciative, we have many shows lined up for the city this year.”
