DYNAMOS and Highlanders renew their football rivalry on Sunday when they clash in the first leg of the rebranded Bob 92 Zifa Super Cup at Barbourfields Stadium.

The spokesperson of the tournament organising committee, Charles Mabika, said the second leg will be played in Harare at the National Sports Stadium on March 19.
The tournament is meant to commemorate President Robert Mugabe’s 92nd birthday.
Dynamos are the defending champions after beating city rivals Caps United 1-0 to the trophy last season.
Mabika said the organisers had this time around invited Highlanders to the tournament on the basis that the two were the biggest teams in the country.
Mabika said the prize money for the winners and runners-up was still being worked out by sponsors. Last season, the participating teams did not get their prize money and Mabika said it was beyond their control and that the two teams had agreed to take part this year.

Highlanders were represented by vice-chairman Modern Ngwenya, while Dynamos were represented by club treasurer, Webster Marechera.
Ngwenya said there was lots of excitement and enthusiasm at Highlanders after they engaged a foreign coach — Erol Alkaby — to take charge of the team this campaign.
“Our boys are training hard. There is lots of excitement and anticipation. We hired a new coach from abroad and he has blended youth and experience. What I can promise is thunder on Sunday,” he said.
Marechera also said they were ready.
“We have been to Malawi where we played some friendly matches. The team did very well in Malawi. Big Bullets are a good team so we are looking forward to the match against Highlanders,” he said.
