Their day, International Womens’Day is marked internationally, showing the importance of women in our entire society.

The Institute for Young Women’s Development, which held commemorations in Madziwa, Shamva District on Thursday, seeks to bring out the best out of the young women living especially in marginalised and rural communities.

At the event, which was attended by over a hundred women and men, the focus was on the recognition of the contribution of women to their various communities.

As dedication, we have below portraits of the unnamed rural women who were part of the event. The represent the image of the women in rural communities.
