Kwaringa was on $200 bail and last appeared in court on January 26 .

Provincial magistrate Tendai Mahwe issued the warrant of arrest.

It is the State’s case that Kwaringa stole an accident-damaged Toyota Chaser valued at $6 000 from Dzivaresekwa Police Station in September last year under the pretext that he was towing the car to the Warren Park Police traffic section, which was handling the accident report. The car belonged to Onias Sayi, who had been involved in an accident in April last year in Dzivaresekwa high-density suburb. After the incident, Sayi’s car was towed. Instead of going to Warren Park Police Station, Kwaringa took the vehicle to Highfield, where he stripped it and sold the parts to different persons.
