Disgruntled parents said since the opening of the first term last month, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has failed to deploy Tonga teachers in most schools in the two districts.
Tonga language is taught from primary to secondary level in Kariba district in Mashonaland West and Binga in Matabeleland North. Tonga is one of the 15 official languages taught in schools under the new education curriculum.
Mashonaland West provincial education director Sylvester Mashayamombe refused to comment on the issue.
