The duo, who recently attended the South African Menswear Week Autumn/Winter 2016 in Cape Town, will conduct the red carpet interviews and act as the “fashion police” during the ceremony.

The duo is well-known for “dressing to kill” and besides hosting the red carpet, will also be guest presenters.

Mbo Mahocs told NewsDay that she was happy and looking forward to the big day.

“This is exciting news and it’s humbling that my work in the arts industry is being celebrated. I’m looking forward to being on the Red Carpet with my partner in style, Gilmore. He is so blunt that I feel for those passing through the red carpet,” she said.

Gilmore Tee said it was good to be back at the Zima and he was excited that local designers will have an opportunity to showcase their works by dressing nominees who will be attending the awards. “Please do dress up, if you are going to be attending the awards,” he said.

The awards are meant to honour excellence in the music industry.
