Sources said among the five coaches that were in Beitbridge on Saturday for the interviews are Buffaloes and former ZPC Kariba coach, Saul Chaminuka, former Shabanie Mine and FC Platinum developmental side coach Jairos Tapera, ex-Shabanie Mine and also FC Platinum’s John Phiri and former Tripple B mentor Peter Manoti.

Club secretary, Rodlet Chingwinya yesterday confirmed the interviews, but could not be drawn into revealing names, saying the club would only make an announcement of the technical team after meeting the board of trustees tomorrow.

“We have identified the coach after we held interviews with five coaches on Saturday, but we cannot reveal his name at the moment because we have not given him his contract,” he said.

Chigwinya said they would start pre-season preparations today.

Strikers, who have become the third side from Beitbridge to play in the topflight after Underhill and Tripple B, earned promotion under the guidance of Never Malunga.

Malunga, however, does not possess the required minimum qualifications to sit on the bench in the elite league

  1. Ko nhai Malunga, why don’t you get the qualifications. You are a great couch but im surprised you don’t have the the required certificates. Its like you drive a car without a licence

  2. never should go on and work on that qualification. he is capable indeed. i know the guys will retain him in the structures
