It was a frustrating match for the visitors who failed to breakdown a hardworking Mutoko Traders who fielded a new team after losing seven players to various teams.

There soft spoken coach Abraham Makwarimba told NewsDay that Tadious Baye who was never tested the whole afternoon was a goalkeeper he got from a rural social side and had never played at any other level in his football career.

“I have a new team and we are getting somewhere. We could have won this game and a draw does not excite me. The team is proud of the new players who are mostly from the community,” said Kwarimba

Dynamos who fielded midfielder Carlos Rusere as a striker alongside Farai Mupasiri never threatened a well marshalled Mutoko Traders defence that was led by the highly rated Herbert Utete.

While Dynamos had the best of the interplay the bumpy field did not allow either teams to play a flowing game resulting in an afternoon of long balls and the complains from fans who travelled from as far as Harare.

Dynamos’ new gaffer Paulo Jorge Silva paced restlessly and looked miffed throughout the match. It took him only 35 minutes to substitute four players, Godknows Murwira, Masimba Mambare, Valentine Ndaba and Carlos Rusere for Dominic Mukandi, Musa Madhiri, Brett Amidu and Ocean Mushure.

Despite a few runs by Mushure and Amidu, Mutoko Traders ‘ Utete and Batsirai Gondo were unyielding at the back.

Both teams failed to get a shot on target something the Dynamos gaffer blamed on the pitch.

“I am still trying combinations but this was a poor pitch and the boys played well under the circumstances,” Silva said.
