Party spokesperson, Simon Khaya Moyo yesterday said Zanu PF members who continue to violate the party policy and attack their leadership on social media would be dealt with by an appropriate organ of the party.

“Well, I do not comment on individual cases, but as a policy, the President has made it very clear, and anyone who violates that, an appropriate arm of the party can deal with the situation,” he said.

Moyo’s comments came after Zanu PF activist and musician, Energy Mutodi last week attacked Acting President Phelekezela Mphoko, accusing him of being the worst politburo member followed by party commissar, Saviour Kasukuwere.

“But I will not comment on an individual like Mutodi because I don’t know who he is and what he represents. If he spoke as a Zanu PF member, then it is wrong. As I said, I will not comment on an individual or ask him what he meant when he allegedly attacked the party leadership,” he said.

Mutodi attacked Mphoko for his long stay at a five-star hotel and his refusal to occupy government houses offered to him since his appointment as VP in 2014.

“He has also torched storms by unnecessarily discussing Gukurahundi and Unity Accord issues, which he seems not to understand fully,” Mutodi wrote on his Facebook wall.

“He is too bossy and likes to command party officials to toe factional agendas. He is also the worst Vice-President ever to be appointed by President Mugabe.”

Mutodi ranked Jonathan Moyo, David Parirenyatwa, Prisca Mupfumira, Eunice Sandi Moyo, Christopher Mushohwe, Sithembiso Nyoni and Josaya Hungwe among several others as Zanu PF’s worst politburo members.

Mutodi is believed to be aligned to Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s camp.
