A 33-YEAR-OLD Glen View man allegedly drugged his 14-year-old stepdaughter using vinegar and raped her while she was unconscious.

The suspect, whose name has been withheld to protect the complainant’s identity, is said to have abused the teenager on four consecutive days using the same method on unknown dates between February and March last year.
The State alleges that each time he raped her, he dangled a black plastic bag, which he claimed contained objects that could kill her if she spilled the beans.
The girl later sneaked out of the house and proceeded to her aunt, where she made a report, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
Last week, the man appeared at the High Court seeking to be remanded out of custody pending trial, but his application was not heard, as the State had not filed its response.
