RISING gospel artiste, Munyaradzi Mandeya (24) has released a six-track album, The Revival, following his 2012 debut single, Tumai Mweya, which was produced by Tony Fresh.

The Chitungwiza-based musician was so inspired by the response to his debut single that he decided to pursue a career in music and has not looked back.
After a brief stint in Cape Town, South Africa, where he had gone to seek the proverbial greener pastures in 2014, he returned home, as things did not pan out as he had hoped.
He poured his savings into his music and was able to do recordings.
Soon after his return home, Mandeya teamed up with producer Blessing Masanga — the man behind popular track, Ebenezer — who helped him put together the album, The Revival.
The upcoming musician, however, lamented lack of sponsorship, as a major stumbling block, as many musicians were unemployed and did not have adequate financial muscle to have their music recorded.
“We face challenges of sponsorship because we are not popular, so you end up self-financing everything,” Mandeya, who was inspired by sensational songstress, Bethany Pasinawako to consider music, said.
