Perfect Benhura, of no fixed abode, was convicted for contravening Section 46 2(V) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23 when he appeared before Chitungwiza regional magistrate, Rekina Dzikiti last week.

Benhura was instructed to pay the fine, failure of which, he will spend 30 days behind bars.

According to State papers, on December 29, 2015, Benhura provocatively tickled a female passenger’s palm, while inside his Makoni-bound commuter omnibus. Bemhura paid a deaf ear when she protested, prompting the latter to file a police report.

It later turned out the passenger was a municipal police officer employed by Chitungwiza Town Council. Donald Mudadirwa prosecuted.
