Alfred Mumba (35) is alleged to have deeped his fingers in his cashier’s undergarments and started touching her privates before giving her $5 and a dollar worth of airtime.

Mumba was granted $200 bail and remanded to January 20 by Chitungwiza magistrate Takundwa Mthetwa.

Prosecutor Ntombikayise Nleya told the court that on Thursday last week, the complainant in the matter, a 24-year old woman, was alone in the kitchen at the hotel where she works when Mumba approached her.

It is alleged Mumba started shouting at her, accusing her of having an affair with his brother-in-law, but the woman denied the allegations.

However, Mumba is alleged to have put his right hand into the complainant’s panties and started touching her privates.

When the latter protested, Mumba allegedly pulled out his hand and shoved a $5 note into her bra and also gave her airtime worth $1.

The woman immediately reported the matter to police, leading to his arrest.
