Deputy police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi identified the deceased as Douglas Matanhire (29), Bruce Matanhire (31), Stella Matanhire (28), Jane Matanhire (30) and Marjorie Katsande (70) all of number 4444 Tafara in Harare.

“One male adult who died on admission at Parirenyatwa Hospital is yet to be identified. Meanwhile, the ZRP is appealing to members of the public who are missing their relatives to proceed to Harare Central Police Traffic section and assist in the identification of the remaining body,” he said.

Accident  at Flyover #AMHVoices

The six were part of 17 mourners travelling to Mutoko for a funeral.

The accident occurred at the 24km peg when a Toyota Hilux vehicle they were travelling in burst its front left tyre, veered off the road and rolled several times.

The other 11 people including the driver were rushed to Parirenyatwa Hospital where they were said to be in a stable condition yesterday.
