Update:Zanu PF MP Wadyajena off the hook

ZANU PF’s Gokwe-Nembudziya MP Justice Mayor Wadyajena had his charges of criminally insulting First Lady Grace Mugabe and fellow party member and Kadoma businessman Jimayi Muduvuri withdrawn before plea today.

The charges were withdrawn after his lawyer Givemore Muvhiringi successfully applied against further remand.

“We had made an application for refusal of remand on the basis that the charge in question was unconstitutional. The court agreed with us so they said he won’t be prosecuted. The court ruled that they can proceed to charge him for disorderly conduct,” he said.

“The aspect of insulting the First Lady is no longer there,” Muvhiringi said.

Muvhiringi said Wadyajena will now appear in court on February 1 for disorderly conduct.

The youthful Midlands legislator was arrested during the party’s national conference in the resort town last month.

Muduvuri made the state look stupid and must be the one behind the dock. he takes personal differences and include the so-called holy name Grace in it. Grace should start looking at these type of people seriously, they are messing her name. They don’t want her but they just want to use her name to settle scores.

The country needs to employ police who are taught about the legalities of law. ZRP lacks that, all they have is gangsters who represent interests of certain quarters of society. In fact the whole country has been turned into a party, how do you explain someone being arrested for calling for a president to resign? How is that a crime? Right now as I write if you say Mugabe’s government failed to pay salaries and it’s ministers are splashing cash in Asia, you get arrested on site by a police agent or bashed, but it’s true, is there any law really???
