Eight female Hip Hop artistes – Nonkululeko “Amard” Dube, Emilia “Tru North” Mandaza, Gladys “Missy” Timbenawo, Adelaide “Miss Kiddy” Chadehwa, Asimbonge “Cystalline” Nomande, Joan Wanisai, Tafadzwa Kahuni and Shamiso “Gwenyambira” Mutizi – will bring their individual flair into the song.

Amard and Miss Kiddy were nominees at the recently held Hip Hop awards. Cystalline, who is based in Bulawayo, is currently under Cal_Vin’s label, Volt Face Records, and she has been recording music since 2013, while Kahuni has been working with GT Beats.

The eight bar cypher is already making waves on social media platforms like You Tube and Facebook and Tash said the response has been overwhelming.

“Our eight bar cypher is receiving a lot of positive reviews on media platforms. People are enjoying it and we have good statistics,” he said.

Tash, who has worked with the likes of Roki, Willis Wataffi, Pauline, Taurai Mandebvu and Nesto bemoaned promoters’ reluctance to embrace local Hip Hop music from emerging artists.

He said their music had “clean” lyrics and was suitable for children.

“We look at the social environment and that is how even the girls write their music. They are so creative and talented and I have been working on this project with them for two years and I feel now it is ripe and ready to go on the market,” the producer said.

Tash – a journalism student at a local college – works from his home with his studio, Kalisha Music Entertainment, becoming home to several upcoming artistes.
