‘Ngozi Mine’ slum, located in Richmond, is where one finds the depth of the poverty in the country as most of the people who live there are unemployed and live from hand-to-mouth from piece jobs among other things.

One the residents of the slum, Ishmael Ndlovu (40),said he has been surviving on selling scrap material and subsistence farming on a piece of land for the ten years he has been living at Ngozi.
