Munzara, who had been struggling to run the pageant since its inception in 2012, had hit hard times and was forced to engage South Africans Mandla Mkhize and Nhlanhla Shabangu for sponsorship.

The parties later agreed to have the pageant registered in South Africa under the name Miss Heritage (Private) Limited as a way of solidifying the partnership.

In a dramatic move, Munzara felt he had been cheated and started fighting Mkhize and Shabangu describing them as “thieves”.

Munzara, however, later had a change of heart and told NewsDay yesterday that he discussed the matter with Mkhize and Shabangu as “mature business people” and agreed to resolve their differences.

“I opted for an exit to pursue other dreams which Mkhize and Shabangu also support. I will only remain founder of the pageant and will get the honour to attend every edition of the event,” Munzara said.

“We are no longer divided despite the huge fights we engaged in, that is what makes Miss Heritage pageant great.”

Munzara said many lessons were learnt by both parties and they now conduct business better after going through the mayhem.

“I have grown to be better. Yes I fell so many times in public, but I am still standing and moving forward no matter how many blunders I have made,” he said.

“Many people have been asking me, what is next after Miss Heritage? What is next in terms of international pageantry, there is a creation which is still an idea that will be launched soon and this one is for Zimbabwe.”
