The show — which had a line-up of several other artistes — was probably the first to blend a variety of different music genres, something that has only been associated with festivals.

The audience reflected different generations of music lovers, as the music played appealed to both adults and youths.

Hip-hop artiste, Guluva 7, opened the curtain with a performance that lured the mature to the dance floor.

Hey! "The beat was good and I was tempted to use it on one of my songs."

Soon after his performance, the Hurricanes dance group took to the stage with exhilarating dance routines that mimicked “robot” moves.

A promising artiste, Mzobanzi Mlauzi — popularly known as Mzoe 7 — and his group, the Explosion, sealed the curtain-raising with a top-drawer show that left fans clamouring for more.

“I am happy Bulawayo that you have supported me tonight. I promise that this week my new album will be out in the market and soon it will be on radio. I thank you,” he said, before paving way for Jah Prayzah.

The lanky artiste stepped onto the stage at exactly 1am and brought all the revellers back to their feet throughout his two and half-hour performance.

He performed tracks from his first album such as Tsviriyo, Mwanasikana and some tracks from his latest album, Jerusarema.
