Zanu PF should stop factional fights and focus more on the implementation of ZimAsset so that the economic turnaround is realised.

During her Meet the People rallies in the country as the Zanu PF Women’s League secretary, Grace made it clear that the implementation of ZimAsset should be prioritised so that the economy is revived. She further emphasised that once the implementation of ZimAsset is in full swing, the 2013 Zanu PF campaign message of job creation and economic prosperity would be realised and the revolutionary party would be applauded by every electorate.

Grace has also denounced people who are always eager to destroy the party through factional fights, adding that such fights were counterproductive and would not be tolerated within the revolutionary party.

So, people should take the First Lady’s advice seriously and make sure that they work for the development of the country. It is important for the revolutionary party to be united and focus more on the development of the country through the revival of the economy so that the ZimAsset programme is fully operational.

While it is difficult to separate economics from politics, it would also be unfair for the ruling party to concentrate more on the political sphere, ignoring its mandate to turnaround the economic situation in the country.

It is proper for Zanu PF members and supporters to work together and promote unity of purpose as a way of politically neutralising the country’s detractors. Factional wars should not be entertained as they are counterproductive. People should heed what Grace has said.

Throughout her addresses, Grace said unity in Zanu PF is what is needed and people should work for that unity to be maintained.

Grace has also called for the members and supporters of the ruling party to reconcile with each other and avoid internal fights. She has pointed out that those who have wronged the party can be forgiven if they realise their mistakes and then ask for forgiveness.

She has also stated that the party reigns supreme as no individual is bigger than the party. As such, it behoves every member to ensure that the party and country’s interests are jealously guarded.

The unity which Grace is ever preaching about to the Zanu PF members and supporters should be embraced by every peace-loving individual in the country.

Actually, the internal fights, which end up with certain individuals coming up with votes of no-confidence against leaders, should be addressed as a matter of urgency. While some of such votes of no-confidence are genuine and necessary, sometimes they are divisive.

Grace’s appeal for the party to forgive those who have realised their mistakes and are now ready to come back should be welcomed by party members as forgiveness is good in party building.

People should appreciate that disciplinary action should be handled quite well in order for the party to remain united.

Of late, some Zanu PF members and supporters have been using the private media to attack each other whenever they think that they have some scores to settle.

The issue of indiscipline within some members and supporters of the revolutionary party must be dealt with.

For that reason, Zanu PF members should make sure that they are united for the good of the party and nation.
