They said tickets to the show have been sold out.

Extra Time Entertainment spokesperson, Hazel Kurwakumire said Kansiime’s fans will have a chance to meet her over drinks and dinner ahead of her performance scheduled for Saturday at 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale.

“This party is for Kansiime’s beloved fans so she can mix and mingle with them over drinks and dinner. There is no cover charge for this party,” she said.

“They should all come on Friday night so we can give her a great Zimbabwean welcome before her performance.”

Kurwakumire said lucky fans will receive give-aways courtesy of the sponsors – Black Opal, Chic Street, Astro Mobile, Brands Africa, Tracy Mason and Techtools – on the night.

Kansiime is expected in the country today at 2pm aboard Kenya Airways.

Maestro Restaurant will also host her after party soon after her Saturday night show.

Kansiime, who recently scooped the Best Comedian Award at the African Entertainment Awards USA, has promised Zimbabweans a rib-cracking show.

The Ugandan actress and writer, popular for her comic skits on social media, will share the stage with Zimbabwe’s finest comedians Carl Joshua Ncube and Doc Vikela.

Doc Vikela said it would be the best moment of his life sharing the stage with the celebrated Queen of Comedy.

“I am super-excited. It will be a great night of laughter and learning on my part. We look up to her for inspiration and she has brought it home,” he said.

Kansiime is a member of Uganda’s top comedy group, Fun Factory and does her comedy skits in Swahili and English.
