MDC-T MP in court over parking fees

It is the State case that Maridadi on October 9 this year at NRZ Kenneth Kaunda Avenue, unlawfully took possession or control of an NRZ ticket book valued at $2,50 from Zivanai Muzokomba without his consent.

The State further alleges that Maridadi knew that NRZ, which is represented by Muzokomba, was entitled to own, possess or control the book.

The State further avers that Maridadi had parked his Ford Ranger vehicle at the NRZ parking bay and upon his return was asked to pay parking fees to which he refused, arguing he needed to see the ticket book first.

Upon being shown the ticket book, number 125/15, the legislator is alleged to have grabbed it from the NRZ employee and drove away along Kenneth Kaunda Avenue towards the eastern direction.

The attendant reported the matter at Harare Central Police Station using the car registration number, which was checked at the Central Vehicle Registry and proved that it belonged to the MP.

The State further alleges that the ticket book was recovered from Maridadi when he was arrested. Maridadi came to the court through summons.
