Grace was speaking at her Murewa rally, where she said, while she was preparing for the gathering in the morning, there was a sudden blackout at her Borrowdale home.

“In the morning when I was dressing, there was darkness. Even at the President’s house, Zesa goes. My gadgets have developed faults now because of load-shedding. We want to improve on that under ZimAsset,” Grace said.

The First Lady also blamed the West for the dry spell in a number of countries including Zimbabwe, saying their industrialisation was the cause for climate change and diseases like cancer due to the smoke they emit into the air.

Grace said President Robert Mugabe would this week join other leaders for a climate change summit in Paris, France.
